It's been a crazy process, and we've looked at a lot of houses, but we're so happy to announce that our offer on this little home, located on Stockell Street in Cleveland Park, was accepted yesterday! It's the cutest little bungalow, built in 1920, but completely updated for modern tastes and conveniences with a new roof, new electrical, new plumbing, and a new heat/air system.
We love the wood detailing on the porch ceiling.
Living room, with shot of den/office area - they were able to refinish some of the original hardwood floors
There are two mantles in the house, which were originally coal-burning.
Den/office - we love how they used classic mouldings around the windows and doorways
Downstairs guest bath and laundry area
Guest bedroom
Dining nook and stairs to master suite
Dining area from the kitchen - sunny!
Kitchen with gas stove (Jon's in love with that)
Master bedroom
A view into the master bath (notice the window seat in the dormer) - we love how they made the attic the master suite
Master bathroom with 1920s tile in the shower
Back patio off the dining area and guest bedroom
We're set to close in about 45 days and are so excited!!

Congrats! That is one top-shelf looking home there - esp for you as 1st time home buyer. Wonder if Ozzy Nelson will get any other co-workers to start renting your current place.
